Here's how I got the skinny on this place: Just Good Food sells organic chips, and for a little while, Harding's grocery up on West Main sold said chips. I became ridiculously addicted to both the Sweet Potato chips and the Flax Seed chips, and then... Harding's stopped carrying the chips.
In a fit of grief and uncontrollable rage (yes rage - they were really good chips) I googled the company name on the back of my last bag of sweet potato chips and came across the restaurant addy. The rest, as we say here in the blogging biz, is history. (And holy God is there an over use of the word "chips" in the paragraphs above. Sheesh. My bad.)
Anyway, my sandwich was pretty decent. It had chicken and pesto and cheese and tomato and a whole lot of other stuff that's super good for you all piled on sour dough bread. I throughly enjoyed the taste, but the memory that sticks with me was how messy it was to eat. The bottom of the sandwich was soggy before I even got the chance to pick it up, which resulted in me trying to eat most of my sandwich with a fork. All in all it tasted spiffy, but for messy factor alone I'll order something different next time.
I also have to say to whomever makes the signage for Just Good Food: I LOVE YOU. The signs labeling the food and outlining your order options were all hand-drawn with markers and love. So fun! If you ever need help I would make signs like that for free. THAT IS HOW MUCH I LOVE THEM. (Rwar, fear me, I am the caps lock monster of doom.)

Kate: Blue Moon sandwich and Edamame Bean Salad
Kristin caught wind of this place located in the Rose St. Market downtown. I can't even remember how she heard of it, but we wanted a lunch spot that was off-campus and they were the winners today! The deli is filled with yummy sounding (and looking) things. So, I opted to be a little adventurous and went with the Blue Moon sandwich. This sandwich is loaded with a juicy chicken breast, leaf lettuce, (really spicy) Dijon mustard, and Wisconsin blue cheese. Sounds great, right. Well, it was, but be prepared... the blue cheese was REALLY blue. The tangiest blue cheese I think I have ever had. It was balanced really well with the Dijon mustard, but the mustard wasn't spread throughout the whole sandwich, so there were times when it was almost too much. So, good idea, great ingredients, just a little bit beyond my taste.
Now, the Edamame Bean Salad...YUM. So simple, edamame, cilantro, onion, olive oil, but SO tasty. And, the other assorted salads and sides all look great.
A charming little place with a very diverse and fresh menu. I will go back. I will order something else, I think, but I will go back.
