A charming little place tucked back in a residential neighborhood, this place is a gem in the Kalamazoo cuisine area. Two dining experiences in one, we opted for cuisine found at Cosmos rather than O'Duffy's. Not an extremely extensive menu, but one full of surprises including duck, lamb and an intriguing red, white, and green lasagna. I opted for the Spanikopita and was not disappointed. The blend of spinach, cheese and herbs inside the flaky pastry was perfect. Accompanied by a petite Greek salad (always YUM) and basamati rice, this was a great dinner that was not too filling or heavy but felt like a treat!
And, I have heard stories of the wonderful roasted garlic appetizer that sits on the menu. However, it must take them a while to prepare it and the wait for this coveted appetizer was longer than the wait for a table. Plus, we were hungry, so we went ahead and ordered our entrees. SAD!
A fun place with nice decor and a fun atmosphere. Definitely a good place for a slightly more than jeans and t-shirt casual night on the town, but not too fancy pants!
