That's right... this Foodie just celebrated a birthday (the age of which I will not reveal), and two of my sisters and my new brother-in-law came to Kalamazoo to help us celebrate. It wouldn't be a Foodie's birthday without lots of great eats, right? So, here are some photos from our VERY fun weekend!
We hit up Taste of Kalamazoo for lunch! I enjoyed (thoroughly) the Grilled Chicken Wrap with Fire Roasted Salsa from Q-It-Up. |
The sisters enjoying their dishes... Pork Sliders from Metro Diner and 411 Club (left) and Beef Rendang from Rasa Ria. |
Seriously, this wrap was tasty! |
Mr. Foodie and I. |
My baby sisters (they are twins... can't you tell?)! |
A quick stop at Bell's Brewery for drinks and snacks. No worries, I had an Izze Soda (Birch flavored and AWESOME). |
A delectable dinner at Cafe Rustica downtown Kalamazoo. Mr. Foodie and I enjoyed an amazing meal here once before... check out the blog post here! |
My dinner... Mushroom Farrotto. SO YUMMY! |
Paul had the special. Paella with Saffron Rice. He was in heaven! |
Sisters! After our wonderful dining experience. |
Birthday cakeS from Bert's Bakery! Almond Poppy Seed (my favorite) on the left and Yellow with Strawberry filling right. |
And, it wouldn't be a birthday without cashing in my Coldstone Creamery birthday rewards coupon. Cake Batter with sprinkles PLEASE! |

I am jealous of all of those meals. Well - minus the mushroom one. But that Paella looks amazing.
